2. Maintain a clean and organized meat department, ensuring all products are properly displayed and labeled.
3. Assist customers in selecting and purchasing various cuts of meat, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have.
4. Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of inventory, ensuring that all products are fresh and available for purchase.
5. Receive and inspect meat deliveries, checking for quality and freshness.
6. Properly package and label meat products for sale, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
7. Operate equipment such as grinders, slicers, and scales to prepare and portion meats according to customer requests.
8. Keep up-to-date with current meat industry trends and products, and make recommendations to customers based on this knowledge.
9. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
10. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation guidelines.
12. Continuously maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing the company in a positive light.
13. Assist in training new employees on meat department procedures and customer service expectations.
14. Work closely with the Meat Department Manager to ensure department goals and sales targets are met.
15. Maintain a strong knowledge of pricing, promotions, and sales in order to accurately answer customer inquiries.
