As a Specimen Technician I, you will play a crucial role in our laboratory operations by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of patient specimens.   1. Accurately and efficiently process patient specimens according to established procedures and protocols.
  2. Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in all specimen handling and labeling.
  3. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
  5. Follow standard operating procedures to properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
  6. Work collaboratively with other team members to meet daily production goals.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any specimen processing issues or discrepancies.
  8. Keep accurate records of all specimens received, processed, and shipped out.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
  11. Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  14. Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the laboratory manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Level Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required For The Specimen Technician I Position.

  • Basic Computer Skills: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Computer Skills, Including Data Entry And Navigating Electronic Systems.

  • Attention To Detail: The Specimen Technician I Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure Accuracy In Processing And Handling Specimens.
