Specimen Technician

Responsibilities:

1. Accurately process and store specimens according to established guidelines and protocols.
2. Organize and track specimens to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
3. Follow all safety and quality guidelines to ensure specimen integrity and laboratory environment safety.
4. Communicate with customers to provide updates on specimen status and resolve any issues.
5. Maintain accurate records of specimen processing and storage activities.
6. Assist with the training of new staff on specimen processing and storage protocols.
7. Monitor laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure availability and proper functioning.
8. Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives to ensure continuous improvement of the specimen processing and storage process.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to specimen processing and storage.
10. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the laboratory.
