Senior Staff Molecular Pathologist

The Senior Staff Molecular Pathologist will be responsible for providing laboratory expertise and technical support to our molecular pathology laboratory. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior staff.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in molecular pathology, a Ph.D. in Molecular Pathology or related field, and a demonstrated record of research and/or clinical accomplishments. The Senior Staff Molecular Pathologist should also have a strong background in molecular techniques, such as PCR, sequencing, and other advanced methods. Responsibilities: -Provide laboratory expertise and technical support to the molecular pathology laboratory -Lead and mentor junior staff -Analyze specimens for the diagnosis of genetic and infectious diseases using molecular techniques such as PCR, sequencing, and other advanced methods -Ensure accuracy and quality in all laboratory work -Develop and implement new laboratory techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness of molecular pathologic testing -Collaborate with other team members to ensure successful completion of projects -Maintain detailed records of laboratory tests and results -Provide education and training to laboratory personnel in molecular pathology -Conduct research related to molecular pathology and publish findings in appropriate journals
