  1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of company facilities and operations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  3. Provide guidance and training to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  4. Collaborate with management and other departments to develop and maintain a strong safety culture within the organization.
  5. Monitor and analyze data related to workplace injuries, accidents, and illnesses to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  6. Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans.
  7. Oversee the maintenance and calibration of safety equipment and systems.
  8. Serve as the main point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns.
  9. Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness for potential emergencies.
  10. Keep up-to-date with new and changing regulations and industry best practices to ensure the company's safety policies and procedures are current and effective.
  11. Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors related to safety, such as OSHA, EPA, and waste disposal companies.
  12. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
  13. Prepare and present safety reports to senior management.
  14. Mentor and train junior EHS staff members.
  15. Continuously work towards improving safety performance and reducing workplace injuries and accidents.

Job Qualifications
  • Professional Certifications Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Are Preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Senior-Level Ehs Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Laboratory Setting.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Relating To Environmental, Health, And Safety Compliance.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train, Mentor, And Manage A Team.
