As a Senior EHS Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.   1. Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Provide guidance and support to all levels of the organization on EHS issues, including training programs, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  4. Stay up-to-date on all relevant EHS regulations and industry best practices to ensure the company remains in compliance.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to implement safety strategies and initiatives, including emergency response plans and business continuity plans.
  6. Coordinate and lead safety committees and meetings to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  7. Conduct and/or oversee safety training programs to educate employees on safe work practices.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
  9. Monitor and analyze EHS metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  10. Manage and maintain all EHS documentation and records.
  11. Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  12. Develop and manage budgets for EHS programs and initiatives.
  13. Communicate EHS requirements and expectations to all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  14. Represent the company in EHS audits and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert and resource for EHS issues and concerns.
  16. Continuously assess and improve EHS programs and processes to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  17. Mentor and train junior EHS team members.

Job Qualifications
  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Environmental Health And Safety Management, Preferably In A Laboratory Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Osha Regulations, Hazardous Waste Management, And Safety Protocols For Laboratory And Medical Settings.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field. Advanced Degree Or Relevant Certifications (Csp, Cih) Preferred.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience Managing And Training A Team Of Ehs Professionals.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And External Regulatory Agencies.
