- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to all levels of the organization on EHS issues, including training programs, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Stay up-to-date on all relevant EHS regulations and industry best practices to ensure the company remains in compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement safety strategies and initiatives, including emergency response plans and business continuity plans.
- Coordinate and lead safety committees and meetings to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Conduct and/or oversee safety training programs to educate employees on safe work practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as regulatory agencies and industry organizations.
- Monitor and analyze EHS metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage and maintain all EHS documentation and records.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Develop and manage budgets for EHS programs and initiatives.
- Communicate EHS requirements and expectations to all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Represent the company in EHS audits and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies.
- Act as a subject matter expert and resource for EHS issues and concerns.
- Continuously assess and improve EHS programs and processes to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Mentor and train junior EHS team members.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Environmental Health And Safety Management, Preferably In A Laboratory Or Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Osha Regulations, Hazardous Waste Management, And Safety Protocols For Laboratory And Medical Settings.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field. Advanced Degree Or Relevant Certifications (Csp, Cih) Preferred.
Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience Managing And Training A Team Of Ehs Professionals.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And External Regulatory Agencies.
