Referral Representative

We are looking for a Referral Representative to join the team at Quest Diagnostics. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing high-quality patient care. This position is an integral part of our team and requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will enable them to effectively interact with both patients and external referral sources. They should also demonstrate strong problem solving and organizational abilities and be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently. Responsibilities:

1. Respond to patient questions and inquiries regarding referrals and other related matters in a timely and professional manner.
2. Maintain accurate records of patient referrals and ensure that all information is up-to-date.
3. Process referrals from external referral sources in accordance with department policies and procedures.
4. Follow up with patients and external referral sources to ensure that the necessary paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
5. Resolve any issues that may arise in the referral process in a timely and effective manner.
6. Monitor referrals to ensure that all necessary information is included, accurate and up-to-date.
7. Communicate effectively with both patients and external referral sources to ensure that all requirements are met.
8. Maintain a high level of customer service in all interactions with patients and external referral sources.
9. Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the referral process.
10. Assist with additional tasks and projects as needed.
