  1. Perform phlebotomy procedures with precision and accuracy to collect blood and other specimens from patients.
  2. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with patients, making them feel comfortable and at ease during the phlebotomy process.
  3. Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
  4. Properly label and store collected specimens for accurate and timely processing.
  5. Keep detailed and accurate records of specimens, including patient information and collection date and time.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold a high standard of cleanliness and prevent contamination.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen collection and handling.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to patients by addressing any questions or concerns they may have about the phlebotomy process.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  11. Participate in quality control and quality assurance measures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of specimens.
  12. Continuously strive to improve phlebotomy skills and seek out opportunities for professional development.
  13. Flexibility to work varying shifts and locations, as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Credential From A Recognized Accrediting Agency, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A High-Volume Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Phlebotomy Techniques, Including Venipuncture, Capillary Puncture, And Specimen Handling And Processing.

  • Familiarity With Medical Terminology And Laboratory Procedures, Including Blood Draws, Specimen Labeling, And Centrifugation.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Laboratory Staff In A Professional And Courteous Manner.
