  1. Perform phlebotomy procedures accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper identification of patients and appropriate collection of specimens.
  2. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to protect both patients and staff.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
  4. Follow proper specimen handling and labeling procedures to ensure accurate and timely results.
  5. Utilize excellent communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members in a professional and compassionate manner.
  6. Understand and follow all Quest Diagnostics policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations.
  7. Maintain proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during sample collection or processing.
  9. Use electronic medical records and other computer systems to accurately enter and retrieve patient information and test results.
  10. Participate in training and mentoring of new phlebotomy staff as needed.
  11. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  14. Regularly check and restock phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
  15. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting.

  • Current Certification As A Phlebotomy Technician (Pbt) Or Equivalent From A Recognized Accrediting Agency.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Venipuncture Techniques And Blood Collection Procedures.

  • Familiarity With Medical Terminology, Laboratory Test Codes, And Specimen Handling Requirements.

  • Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Laboratory Staff.
