- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples from patients of all ages.
- Ensure accurate labeling and handling of specimens to maintain sample integrity.
- Follow proper infection control and safety procedures to minimize risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
- Utilize appropriate phlebotomy techniques and equipment to minimize discomfort and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Verify patient information and ensure proper identification prior to collecting blood samples.
- Communicate effectively with patients to provide clear instructions and address any concerns or questions.
- Process and package specimens for transport to the laboratory, following proper protocols and labeling procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all phlebotomy procedures and patient information.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper testing and handling of specimens according to specific protocols and guidelines.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Attend ongoing training and development programs to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and satisfaction.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Or Equivalent Certification
Proficient In Venipuncture And Capillary Blood Collection Techniques
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Laboratory Or Healthcare Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology Related To Phlebotomy Procedures
Familiarity With Laboratory Safety Protocols And Infection Control Measures
