- Verify patient information and ensure accuracy of specimen labeling and identification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Utilize electronic medical records and laboratory information systems to accurately record and track patient information and test results.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.

- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients to alleviate any fears or concerns they may have.
- Assist with the training and education of new phlebotomists.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in phlebotomy techniques and equipment.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with specimen collection or processing.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and represent Quest Diagnostics positively to patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Act as a patient advocate and ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy in all aspects of phlebotomy services.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients And Healthcare Professionals.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Physiology.
Associate's Degree In Medical Laboratory Technology Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Phlebotomy Technician (Pbt) Or Medical Laboratory Technician (Mlt) From A Recognized Accrediting Agency.
