- Perform blood collection procedures in a safe and efficient manner according to established protocols.
- Ensure accurate patient identification and labeling of samples.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Utilize proper techniques and equipment to collect and process blood samples, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
- Follow standard operating procedures for specimen handling, processing, and transport to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers, including addressing any questions or concerns and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, including requisitions, logs, and records.
- Monitor supply levels and inform appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to maintain phlebotomy skills and stay current with industry developments.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment by demonstrating teamwork and a strong work ethic.
- Follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Phlebotomy, Preferably In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Laboratory Procedures.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Credential Through A Recognized Organization Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Coworkers In A Professional Manner.
