- Adhere to all HIPAA and privacy regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Handle and dispose of all biohazardous materials in a safe and responsible manner.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the highest level of patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procedures performed.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the phlebotomy process.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Certification: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid Certification From A Recognized Phlebotomy Program, Such As The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Phlebotomy Is Preferred, With A Demonstrated Ability To Perform Venipunctures, Capillary Punctures, And Other Blood Collection Procedures.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: The Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Especially Related To Diagnostic Testing And Laboratory Procedures.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential For This Role, As The Phlebotomist Will Be Interacting With Patients Of All Ages And Backgrounds On A Daily Basis.
Attention To Detail: The Ability To Accurately Follow Protocols, Maintain Patient Records, And Adhere To Safety Standards Is Crucial For This Role, As Any Errors Can Have Serious Consequences For Patients And The Company.
