  1. Collect blood and other specimens from patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Ensure accuracy and precision in the collection and labeling of specimens.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and hygienic environment.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients to provide a positive and comfortable experience.
  5. Follow established procedures and protocols to ensure standardization and quality control.
  6. Adhere to all safety and infection control guidelines to protect patients and staff.
  7. Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures using proper techniques and equipment.
  8. Process and package specimens for transport to the laboratory.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient information and specimen collection.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service and promote a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  11. Educate patients on the specimen collection process and address any questions or concerns.
  12. Stay current with industry developments and best practices in phlebotomy.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  14. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to Quest Diagnostics' mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Credentials From A Recognized Organization Such As The National Healthcareer Association (Nha) Or American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Performing Venipuncture And Specimen Collection In A Clinical Setting.

  • Familiarity With Standard Laboratory Procedures And Safety Protocols, Including Proper Handling And Labeling Of Specimens.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Professionally With Patients And Healthcare Providers.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Record Keeping And Data Entry, As Well As The Ability To Prioritize And Manage Multiple Tasks Efficiently.
