  1. Collect and process patient specimens for testing, following established procedures and safety protocols.
  2. Ensure accurate labeling and identification of all specimens to avoid errors and maintain quality control.
  3. Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing discomfort for patients.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to infection control policies to prevent contamination.
  5. Accurately record and document patient information and test results in electronic medical records.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient specimen collection and processing.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to patients by addressing their concerns and inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of phlebotomy techniques, safety procedures, and equipment to ensure the highest quality of work.
  9. Comply with all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
  10. Participate in continuing education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of phlebotomy.
  11. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Training Program Or Certification From A Recognized Organization (E.g. Ascp, Nha).

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting Performing Venipuncture And Specimen Collection.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Proper Procedures For Blood Collection And Handling.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients Of All Ages And Backgrounds.

  • Proficiency In Using Electronic Medical Records And Data Entry, As Well As Understanding Of Hipaa Regulations And Patient Confidentiality.
