  1. Safely transport patients and medical specimens to and from Quest Diagnostics facilities.
  2. Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols while driving.
  3. Ensure proper handling and storage of medical specimens during transportation.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all transports and specimens.
  5. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members.
  6. Demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families.
  7. Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, and report any maintenance issues.
  9. Assist with loading and unloading of specimens and equipment as needed.
  10. Keep up-to-date with all company policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  11. Identify and report any issues or concerns related to patient care or transportation.
  12. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and timely transportation services.
  13. Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
  14. Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development to improve job performance.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record: A Medical Transport Specialist Must Have A Valid Driver's License And A Clean Driving Record To Operate Company Vehicles Safely And Within Compliance Of Traffic Laws.

  • Medical Transportation Experience: Previous Experience In Medical Transportation, Such As Ambulance Driving, Or A Similar Role Is Highly Preferred. This Experience Will Ensure The Candidate Is Familiar With Patient Transport Protocols And Procedures.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Medical Transport Specialist Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology To Effectively Communicate With Healthcare Professionals And Understand Patient Needs.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Bls Certification Is Required For Medical Transport Specialists To Provide Basic Life Support In The Event Of A Medical Emergency During Transport.

  • Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Ability To Interact With Patients, Healthcare Professionals, And Team Members In A Compassionate And Professional Manner Is Crucial For A Medical Transport Specialist. Strong Communication Skills Are Also Necessary For Accurate And Timely Patient Documentation.
