- Transport specimens and medical supplies to and from various locations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure the safe handling and transportation of all materials, following all necessary protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate and prioritize transportation requests, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and laboratory personnel to ensure timely delivery and accurate handling of specimens.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive information.
- Monitor and report any issues or concerns regarding transportation, including vehicle maintenance and supply shortages.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and external stakeholders, representing the company in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Continuously strive for excellence in performance and actively seek opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Maintain all necessary certifications and licenses, staying up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
Valid Driver's License: A Medical Transport Specialist At Quest Diagnostics Must Possess A Valid Driver's License In Order To Operate Company Vehicles And Safely Transport Patients And Medical Supplies.
Cpr Certification: This Position May Involve Working With Patients Who Have Medical Emergencies, So A Cpr Certification Is Required To Provide Immediate Assistance In Case Of An Emergency.
High School Diploma Or Ged: Quest Diagnostics Requires All Medical Transport Specialists To Have At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent In Order To Demonstrate Basic Education And Competency.
Medical Knowledge: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Is Necessary To Be Able To Properly Transport And Assist Patients With Various Medical Needs.
Excellent Communication Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Interaction With Patients, Medical Staff, And Coworkers, So Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For Effective And Efficient Communication In A Fast-Paced Environment.
