Medical Laboratory Scientist

Quest Diagnostics is looking for an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in laboratory science, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy and quality. Our Medical Laboratory Scientist must be passionate about their work and be able to work both independently and collaboratively with other lab professionals.The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science as well as a valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist license from the State of California. In addition, we are looking for someone who has at least 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. A strong knowledge of standard laboratory safety procedures and experience with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems is also required.At Quest Diagnostics, our Medical Laboratory Scientists are an integral part of our team. Responsibilities:

1. Perform complex laboratory tests and analyses on blood and other bodily fluid specimens
2. Maintain accuracy and quality of laboratory results through the use of established protocols and procedures
3. Work with laboratory personnel and other departments to ensure quality patient care
4. Follow laboratory safety protocols and procedures
5. Utilize established computer software programs to record and analyze data
6. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Maintain knowledge of current trends and technologies in the field of laboratory science
8. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
9. Adhere to all applicable regulations and standards
10. Prepare and review reports and documents as needed
