
Immunohistochemistry Technologist
We are currently seeking an experienced Immunohistochemistry Technologist to join the team at Quest Diagnostics. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks and operations in support of laboratory services within the Immunohistochemistry department. To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently and in a team setting. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. ASCP certification is preferred. Additionally, the successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of clinical laboratory safety and quality assurance principles and procedures. Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks and operations in support of laboratory services within the Immunohistochemistry department.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy and quality control in all work performed.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures as outlined by Quest Diagnostics.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies in order to ensure proper functioning.
- Document all laboratory results and ensure accuracy of data.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel, management, and other personnel as needed.
- Provide training and support to less experienced laboratory personnel.
- Maintain knowledge of current laboratory methods and procedures.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist
Previous Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting
Knowledge Of Ihc Techniques And Procedures
Experience Working With Laboratory Instruments And Computerized Systems
Ability To Follow Safety Protocols And Procedures
Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Data Entry
