Histotechnologist

As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for preparing and examining tissue specimens and performing tissue-related diagnostic tests. You will work with the Pathologist to deliver accurate results to our patients. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent technical and communication skills, as well as a strong background in histology techniques.The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Histology or a related field • Certified Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnologist in Training (HT) license • A minimum of two years of experience in a histology laboratory • Proficiency in microscopic and grossing techniques • Ability to use advanced histology techniques, such as immunohistochemistry • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities: • Prepare and examine tissue specimens for microscopic analysis • Perform tissue-related diagnostic tests • Work with Pathologists to deliver accurate results to patients • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies • Adhere to safety protocols and quality control standards in the laboratory • Update and maintain patient records • Monitor and evaluate laboratory test results • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment • Participate in training and continuing education activities • Assist in research projects and other tasks as assigned
