Histotechnologist

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Histotechnologist to join our world-class team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Histotechnologist, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patient samples and help our laboratory ensure accurate and timely results. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong attention to detail and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field and have at least three years of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze histological slides using a variety of techniques, including staining, mounting, and photographing
2. Ensure accurate and timely results by evaluating specimen slides for quality assurance
3. Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory work
4. Evaluate patient samples and provide required reports to physicians
5. Participate in quality control and assurance activities
6. Collaborate with other laboratory personnel to ensure quality and accuracy of results
7. Stay up-to-date on laboratory processes and procedures
8. Assist with orienting and training new personnel
9. Communicate effectively with other laboratory personnel and physicians
10. Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment.
