Histology Group Lead

Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Histology, or a related field • At least 5 years of experience in a histology laboratory setting • Previous lead, supervisory, and/or management experience • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Working knowledge of laboratory regulations and safety protocols • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a histology team by providing direction and guidance to ensure the highest standard of laboratory service is provided to patients and clients.
2. Monitor and adjust workflow, prioritize assignments, and ensure that laboratory personnel are properly trained and equipped to meet their goals.
3. Oversee the accuracy and integrity of histology laboratory results and ensure that laboratory regulations and safety protocols are followed.
4. Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
5. Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel, patients, and clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Maintain accurate records and documents, and prepare reports as required.
7. Utilize Microsoft Office products to organize and manage data.
8. Ensure that laboratory equipment is in good working order and properly maintained.
9. Stay current with developments in histology technology and laboratory procedures.
10. Participate in continuing educational opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
