Histology Group Lead

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Histology Group Lead to join the team at Quest Diagnostics. The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of anatomical pathology and cytology, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. They will also be responsible for training and mentoring new staff, as well as providing technical guidance and guidance on best practice.To be considered for this role, you must have a degree in Medical Technology or related field, preferably with experience in Histology. You should have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and take initiative. Previous experience in a similar role is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee a team of technicians and histotechnologists, ensuring quality standards are met and operational efficiencies are maintained.

6. Liaise with other departments to ensure that the laboratory is properly staffed and running smoothly.
7. Ensure that laboratory materials and supplies are properly maintained and monitored.
8. Monitor laboratory performance and develop strategies to improve performance.
9. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
