We are currently seeking a Forensic Toxicology Laboratory Scientist I to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a member of our Forensic Toxicology team, you will play a critical role in identifying and quantifying drugs and toxins in biological specimens for legal and medical purposes. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in chemistry and toxicology, as well as a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.   1. Conduct accurate and timely analysis of biological specimens for the presence and quantity of drugs and toxins.
  2. Ensure compliance with all laboratory procedures, quality control measures, and safety regulations.
  3. Utilize various analytical techniques, such as chromatography, mass spectrometry, and immunoassay, to perform testing.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
  5. Analyze and interpret data, and report results to appropriate parties.
  6. Collaborate with team members to optimize laboratory processes and workflows.
  7. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in the field of forensic toxicology.
  8. Adhere to strict confidentiality and chain of custody protocols to maintain the integrity of the specimens and results.
  9. Document and maintain accurate records of all testing procedures and results.
  10. Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education activities to ensure proficiency and competency in laboratory procedures.
  11. Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  14. Actively participate in and contribute to team meetings and trainings.
  15. Proactively identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during testing.
  16. Prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines and ensure timely reporting of results.
  17. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by suggesting and implementing process enhancements.
  18. Attend and participate in relevant conferences and seminars to enhance knowledge and skills.
  19. Collaborate with other departments and external partners to support research and development projects.
  20. Embrace a positive and professional attitude, and represent the company in a positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry, Biochemistry, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience Working In A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Forensic Toxicology Laboratory.

  • Knowledge Of Analytical Instruments And Techniques Used In Toxicology Testing, Such As Gas Chromatography And Mass Spectrometry.

  • Familiarity With Standard Operating Procedures And Quality Control Measures In A Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Attention To Detail, Ability To Work With Tight Deadlines, And Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills.
