  1. Develop and implement safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs that comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  3. Provide guidance and support to management and staff regarding safety, health, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  4. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety procedures, emergency preparedness, and environmental regulations.
  5. Investigate and report on all safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, and make recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential safety and environmental risks associated with new projects, processes, and equipment.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety, health, and environmental compliance.
  8. Monitor and track safety and environmental metrics and communicate key findings to management.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations related to safety, health, and environmental standards.
  10. Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections and audits as needed.
  11. Lead the development and implementation of emergency preparedness plans and procedures.
  12. Foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness throughout the organization.
  13. Participate in cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, health, and environmental performance.
  14. Conduct regular reviews of existing safety, health, and environmental programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  15. Serve as a resource for employees on safety, health, and environmental issues and concerns.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Healthcare Or Laboratory Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Pertaining To Environmental Health And Safety.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Safety Protocols To Employees.

  • Certification In Occupational Health And Safety (Oh&S), Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (Chmm), Is Preferred.
