Cytotechnologist

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field and be certified as a Cytotechnologist. The successful candidate will have experience in the cytology laboratory and a solid understanding of laboratory operations. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyze cytology specimens, utilizing microscopes and other laboratory equipment
2. Interpret and report cytology results accurately within established timeframes
3. Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and quality control measures
4. Conduct bench-level research and development to improve laboratory processes
5. Maintain laboratory records and document all quality assurance activities
6. Participate in continuing education activities to stay abreast of the latest advances in the field of cytology
7. Provide timely and accurate patient care in accordance with laboratory protocols
8. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with laboratory colleagues and healthcare professionals
9. Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve challenges in the laboratory
10. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the efficient operation of the laboratory
