Job Description

The Bioinformatics Database Developer will be building database tools and integrating them with our bioinformatics pipelines and the review and reporting systems. Design, develop, validate, and implement clinical grade software to communicate with multiple databases and complex query processes relating to next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, clinical diagnostic test development, data quality review, and clinical reporting. Provide written documentation and specifications of software products and services. Consult on process and technology improvements within R&D, Operations, and IT departments. Participate in resolution of support requests where computational biology or database tools are used. Regularly report progress and prepare data analyses for internal review.

Job Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of professional experience.

  • Excellent experience in fine-tuning SQL queries, PL/SQL programs, and improving application performance
