  1. Conduct thorough testing and validation of digital technologies to ensure high-quality and reliable products.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, verification, and software to identify and troubleshoot issues.
  3. Design and implement test plans and procedures to verify functionality and performance of digital components.
  4. Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase efficiency and accuracy of testing processes.
  5. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
  6. Continuously improve and optimize testing methodologies to keep pace with evolving technologies.
  7. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in digital design to contribute to the development of innovative products.
  8. Identify potential risks and provide solutions to mitigate them.
  9. Work closely with product development teams to provide technical support and guidance.
  10. Document and maintain test specifications and procedures for future reference.
  11. Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Knowledge Of Digital Circuit Design And Semiconductor Testing Techniques: A Post Silicon Test Engineer Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Digital Circuit Design And The Different Testing Techniques Used In The Semiconductor Industry. This Includes Experience With Dft (Design For Test) Methodologies, Atpg (Automatic Test Pattern Generation), And Fault Simulation.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages And Scripting: To Be Successful In This Role, A Post Silicon Test Engineer Must Have Strong Coding Skills In Languages Such As Verilog, Vhdl, And C/C++. They Should Also Be Familiar With Scripting Languages Like Perl, Python, And Tcl, Which Are Commonly Used In Test Automation.

  • Experience With Ic Test Equipment And Tools: This Role Requires Hands-On Experience With Ic Test Equipment Such As Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, And Pattern Generators. A Post Silicon Test Engineer Should Also Have Working Knowledge Of Industry-Standard Test Tools Such As Ate (Automated Test Equipment) And Eda (Electronic Design Automation) Software.

  • Understanding Of Industry Standards And Protocols: A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Standards And Protocols Is Crucial For A Post Silicon Test Engineer. This Includes Knowledge Of Protocols Like Usb, Pcie, And Ethernet, As Well As Industry Standards Like Ieee 1149.1 (Jtag) And Ieee 1149.6 (Ac-Coupled Test Access Port).

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Post Silicon Test Engineer Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Test Data, Identify Root Causes Of Failures, And Propose Solutions To Improve Test Coverage And Yield. They Should Also Have A Strong Attention To Detail And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Debug Test Hardware And Software Issues.
