  1. Develop and maintain the company's DevOps processes and strategies.
  2. Ensure the reliability and scalability of our systems.
  3. Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to DevOps and system performance.
  5. Continuously monitor and improve the performance and availability of our systems.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation for DevOps processes and procedures.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering.
  8. Work with cross-functional teams to define and implement automation and deployment strategies.
  9. Identify and implement improvements to our CI/CD pipelines.
  10. Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and security in our systems.
  11. Participate in on-call rotation to address any critical issues.
  12. Mentor and train team members on DevOps best practices.
  13. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management and other teams.
  14. Continuously seek out ways to improve and optimize processes and systems.
  15. Act as a subject matter expert for DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering within the company.

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency In Coding And Scripting Languages: A Devops/Site Reliability Engineer At Qualcomm Should Be Skilled In At Least One Programming Language, Such As Python, Java, Or Ruby, And Be Able To Write Efficient Scripts To Automate Tasks And Processes.

  • Experience With Cloud Computing: As Qualcomm Heavily Relies On Cloud Infrastructure, Candidates For This Role Should Have Experience Working With Cloud Platforms Like Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud. Knowledge Of Infrastructure As Code Tools Like Terraform Is Also Desirable.

  • Knowledge Of Devops Principles And Practices: A Strong Understanding Of Devops Principles, Including Continuous Integration And Delivery, Infrastructure As Code, And Automated Testing, Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Also Be Well-Versed In Popular Devops Tools Like Git, Jenkins, And Docker.

  • Familiarity With Monitoring And Logging Tools: Qualcomm's Devops/Site Reliability Engineer Will Be Responsible For Monitoring The Company's Infrastructure And Applications For Performance And Stability. Knowledge Of Monitoring Tools Like New Relic, Datadog, Or Prometheus, As Well As Logging Tools Like Elk Stack, Is Crucial For This Role.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: As A Devops/Site Reliability Engineer, The Ability To Troubleshoot Issues And Communicate Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams Is Essential. Candidates Should Have A Strong Analytical Mindset And Be Able To Work Collaboratively To Find Solutions To Complex Problems.
