Risk Manager

Qatar National Bank is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of risk management principles, with a proven track record in implementing effective risk management strategies. We are looking for a Risk Manager with a strong commitment to excellence and a passion for safeguarding our assets and operations. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in the banking and finance industry, with at least 5 years in a Risk Management role, preferably at a large financial institution. A degree in finance, accounting, or economics is preferred. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of risk management processes, risk identification techniques, and risk assessment methods. The ability to analyze data and make sound decisions is essential. The Risk Manager must be an effective communicator and be able to work with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, document, and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures.
2. Monitor and review all risk exposures, including credit, operational, legal, and compliance risks.
3. Analyze data and make sound decisions regarding potential risks.
4. Identify, evaluate, and monitor potential risks and recommend appropriate measures to reduce or eliminate such risks.
5. Develop and implement risk-related training programs for employees.
6. Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
8. Prepare risk management reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
9. Provide support to other departments in risk management activities.
10. Stay up to date with industry trends and developments.
