
Student Ergonomics Specialist

- Conduct personalized ergonomic assessments for students to identify potential risks and provide recommendations for improving their workspaces.
- Promote awareness and understanding of ergonomic principles and practices among students, faculty, and staff.
- Develop and deliver educational workshops and training sessions on ergonomics and proper body mechanics.
- Collaborate with campus departments and organizations to implement ergonomic initiatives and policies.
- Stay updated on the latest research and trends in ergonomics and incorporate them into the program.
- Maintain accurate records of ergonomic assessments and follow-up recommendations.
- Work with students, faculty, and staff to identify and resolve ergonomic concerns and issues.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of ergonomic interventions and make adjustments as needed.
- Serve as a resource for students with disabilities, providing accommodations and assistive technology recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date on safety regulations and standards related to ergonomics and ensure compliance.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the ergonomics program to enhance the overall student experience.
- Collaborate with other campus health and wellness professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to student well-being.
- Communicate and promote the ergonomics program through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and campus events.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
- Act as a role model for healthy and safe ergonomic practices in the workplace.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Factors Engineering, Ergonomics, Occupational Therapy, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Ergonomic Principles And Best Practices In A Higher Education Setting.
Experience Conducting Ergonomic Assessments And Making Recommendations For Equipment And Workspace Modifications.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Students, Faculty, And Staff From Diverse Backgrounds.
Ability To Analyze And Interpret Data To Assess And Track The Effectiveness Of Ergonomic Interventions.
