- Enforce all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances on the Purdue University campus.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service and provide assistance to individuals in need.
- Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support criminal cases.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff to promote a safe and welcoming campus environment.
- Monitor and patrol designated areas on campus to identify and prevent potential safety hazards.
- Provide crowd control and assist with large-scale events on campus.
- Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records of all incidents and activities.
- Work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies and departments on and off campus.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on laws, policies, and procedures.
- Act as a role model and promote ethical behavior and integrity within the department.
- Uphold the mission, values, and goals of the Purdue University Police Department.
- Display excellent communication skills in all interactions with the public and fellow officers.
- Be available to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle complex and high-stress situations effectively.

Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement
Completion Of A Certified Police Academy And Possession Of A Valid Law Enforcement Certification
Excellent Physical Fitness And Ability To Pass Physical Agility Tests
Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations Effectively
