  1. Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff at Purdue University's library.
  2. Assist library patrons with locating and accessing resources, both physically and digitally.
  3. Maintain and organize library collections, including shelving and processing new materials.
  4. Utilize knowledge of library systems and resources to assist patrons with research and reference inquiries.
  5. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement new initiatives and programs to enhance library services.
  6. Maintain accurate records and statistics related to library usage and services.
  7. Train and supervise student workers and volunteers in library procedures and policies.
  8. Assist with library events and workshops, including set-up, promotion, and registration.
  9. Stay up-to-date on library policies, procedures, and resources to provide accurate and current information to patrons.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns raised by library patrons in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Ensure the library is clean, organized, and inviting for patrons at all times.
  12. Communicate effectively with patrons, colleagues, and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve library services and processes to meet the changing needs of the university community.
  14. Adhere to all confidentiality and privacy policies to protect patrons' rights and information.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the library and Purdue University.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Library Science Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Experience Working In A Library Setting, Preferably In An Academic Library.
