  1. Develop and teach engaging and innovative courses in communication and creative arts to undergraduate and graduate students.
  2. Create and implement lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that align with the learning objectives and values of Purdue University.
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and expression.
  4. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic progress and assignments.
  5. Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with industry trends and teaching strategies.
  6. Mentor and advise students on their academic and career goals, and assist them in developing their skills and talents.
  7. Conduct and publish research in the field of communication and creative arts to contribute to the academic community.
  8. Collaborate with other faculty members and departments to develop interdisciplinary courses and projects.
  9. Participate in departmental and university committees, meetings, and events.
  10. Represent Purdue University and the communication and creative arts department at professional conferences and events.
  11. Serve as a role model for students by exemplifying the values of Purdue University, including innovative thinking and creative expression.
  12. Contribute to the recruitment and retention of students through campus events, open houses, and other outreach activities.
  13. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
  14. Comply with university policies and procedures, as well as ethical standards in teaching, research, and service.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and course content to ensure academic excellence.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree Or Phd In Communication, Creative Arts, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Teaching Experience At The University Level.

  • Demonstrated Expertise In Areas Such As Public Speaking, Visual Communication, Media Production, And/Or Creative Writing.

  • Strong Research Background And Record Of Publication In Relevant Academic Journals.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Engage And Mentor Students From Diverse Backgrounds.
