- Develop and implement curriculum for veterinary nursing students.
- Provide leadership and guidance to faculty and staff within the veterinary nursing program.
- Ensure that the program meets all accreditation and regulatory standards.
- Conduct research and contribute to the advancement of veterinary nursing.
- Teach courses and provide instruction to veterinary nursing students.

Advanced Degree In Veterinary Medicine: A Director Of Veterinary Nursing / Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor At Purdue University Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Veterinary Medicine, Such As A Doctor Of Veterinary Medicine (Dvm) Or A Veterinary Medical Doctor (Vmd).
Licensure And Certification: The Candidate Should Have A Valid License To Practice Veterinary Medicine In The State Of Indiana. Additionally, Certification By The American Veterinary Medical Association (Avma) Or Other Relevant Professional Organizations Is Highly Desirable.
Teaching And Research Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Teaching Experience In A Veterinary Or Medical Education Program. Experience In Developing And Implementing Curriculum, As Well As Conducting Research In The Field Of Veterinary Medicine, Is Also Preferred.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Director Of Veterinary Nursing / Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, The Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Oversee And Mentor Students, As Well As Manage The Administrative And Operational Aspects Of The Program.
Clinical Experience: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Clinical Experience In Veterinary Medicine, Preferably In A Teaching Hospital Or Academic Setting. This Experience Should Include A Wide Range Of Species And A Variety Of Medical And Surgical Procedures.
