Doctor Of Veterinary Medicine (Dvm) Degree From An Accredited Institution: Candidates For A Clinical Or Tenure-Track Professor Position In Veterinary Anesthesiology At Purdue University Must Possess A Dvm Degree From An Accredited Institution, Such As The American Veterinary Medical Association (Avma) Council On Education.
Board Certification In Veterinary Anesthesiology: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Veterinary Anesthesiology By The American College Of Veterinary Anesthesia And Analgesia (Acvaa) Or The European College Of Veterinary Anaesthesia And Analgesia (Ecvaa). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Advanced Knowledge And Skills In The Field Of Anesthesia.
Relevant Teaching And Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Teaching And Clinical Experience In Veterinary Anesthesia. This Experience Should Include Teaching At The Undergraduate And/Or Graduate Level, As Well As Providing Clinical Services In A Veterinary Teaching Hospital Or Private Practice Setting.
Record Of Scholarly Activities: Candidates Should Have A Record Of Scholarly Activities, Such As Publications In Peer-Reviewed Journals, Presentations At National And International Conferences, And Participation In Research Projects Related To Veterinary Anesthesia.
