  2. Conduct research in the field of hospitality and tourism management and publish findings in reputable journals.

  4. Stay updated on industry trends and integrate them into the curriculum.
  5. Collaborate with other faculty members and industry professionals to enhance the program's quality and relevance.
  6. Participate in departmental and university committees and meetings.

  8. Provide academic and career guidance to students and assist in their job placements.
  9. Participate in community outreach and industry events to promote the program and build relationships with potential employers.
  10. Serve as a role model for students by demonstrating professionalism, ethical behavior, and a strong work ethic.
  11. Maintain appropriate records and documentation related to teaching, research, and service activities.
  12. Contribute to the accreditation process and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  13. Collaborate with other departments within the university to offer interdisciplinary courses and programs.
  14. Assist in the development and revision of program curriculum to meet changing industry demands.
  15. Represent Purdue University and the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management to external stakeholders, including industry partners and professional organizations.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Hospitality And Tourism Management Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Teaching Experience At The College Level, Preferably In The Area Of Hospitality And Tourism Management.

  • A Strong Record Of Research And Publications In The Field Of Hospitality And Tourism Management, With A Focus On Current Industry Trends And Developments.

  • Experience In Working In The Hospitality And Tourism Industry, Either In A Managerial Or Research Capacity, And A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Practices And Challenges.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Mentor And Advise Students And Collaborate With Colleagues In A Diverse Academic And Professional Environment.
