Job Description

Welcome to the School of Applied and Creative Computing at Purdue University! We are currently seeking highly motivated and innovative individuals to join our team as Assistant/Associate Professors. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the fields of applied computing and creative technologies through teaching, research, and service.   1. Teach courses in the fields of applied computing and creative technologies.
  2. Conduct and publish research in relevant areas.
  3. Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
  4. Participate in curriculum development and assessment.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects.
  6. Engage in service activities, such as serving on committees and participating in outreach efforts.
  7. Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate new technologies into teaching and research.
  8. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
  9. Maintain high standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct.
  10. Support and promote the mission and values of the School and University.
  11. Seek opportunities for external funding and grants.
  12. Attend and present at conferences and professional development workshops.
  13. Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives.
  14. Collaborate with industry partners and engage in technology transfer activities.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve teaching methods and materials.
  16. Serve as a role model and mentor for students and junior faculty members.
  17. Contribute to the overall academic and intellectual community of the School.

Job Qualifications
  • A Ph.d. Or Terminal Degree In A Field Related To Applied And Creative Computing, Such As Computer Science, Information Technology, Or Digital Media.

  • Demonstrated Experience And Expertise In Teaching And Developing Curriculum In Applied And Creative Computing, Including Courses In Programming, Web Development, Game Design, Or Other Relevant Areas.

  • A Strong Record Of Research Or Creative Activity, Including Publications, Presentations, Or Exhibitions In The Field Of Applied And Creative Computing.

  • Experience And Success In Securing External Funding For Research Or Creative Projects In Applied And Creative Computing.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As A Commitment To Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion In Teaching, Research, And Service.
