- Develop and implement strategies to ensure Publix remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Oversee and manage all regulatory and compliance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to stay current on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential compliance risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Draft and review policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Train and educate employees on compliance regulations and best practices.
- Monitor and track regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Represent Publix in interactions with regulatory bodies and government agencies.
- Conduct internal audits and investigations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory experts.
- Provide guidance and support to other team members on legal and compliance matters.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to regulatory and compliance projects.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on compliance initiatives and progress.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation of all compliance efforts.
- Continuously assess and improve Publix's overall compliance program.
Extensive Knowledge Of Legal And Regulatory Requirements: A Manager, Legal Regulatory & Compliance Projects At Publix Super Markets Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of All Relevant State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To The Grocery Retail Industry. This Includes But Is Not Limited To Food Safety Regulations, Labor Laws, And Environmental Regulations.
Project Management Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Effectively Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously, Ensuring That All Deadlines And Objectives Are Met. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Completing Projects Within A Fast-Paced Environment.
Attention To Detail: The Manager, Legal Regulatory & Compliance Projects Must Be Meticulous And Have A Keen Eye For Detail. They Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Legal Documentation And Be Able To Identify Potential Compliance Issues.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As The Manager, Legal Regulatory & Compliance Projects Will Be Responsible For Liaising With Various Stakeholders, Including Legal Counsel, Regulatory Agencies, And Internal Teams.
