Job Description

  1. Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to patients in accordance with their individualized treatment plans.
  2. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' speech and language abilities to determine appropriate treatment methods.
  3. Create and implement individualized treatment plans that address each patient's specific needs and goals.
  4. Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
  6. Educate patients and their families on speech and language disorders and how to manage them.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Stay informed on the latest developments and techniques in the field of speech therapy to continuously improve patient care.
  9. Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and other governing bodies.
  10. Advocate for patients' needs and rights, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
  11. Provide support and guidance to other staff members, such as assistants and students, as needed.
  12. Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary conferences to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans.
  13. Maintain a positive and compassionate demeanor while working with patients and their families.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
  15. Continuously strive to improve the quality of care provided and seek out opportunities for professional development.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology: A Speech Therapist At Pruitthealth Must Possess A Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited University.

  • Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc): Applicants Should Have A Current Certificate Of Clinical Competence From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha).

  • State Licensure: Candidates Must Be Licensed To Practice Speech-Language Pathology In The State Where They Will Be Working.

  • Experience Working With Geriatric Patients: Pruitthealth Serves A Primarily Geriatric Population, So Candidates Must Have Experience Working With This Age Group.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Speech Therapist, It Is Important To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Candidates Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Be Successful In This Role.
