- Provide occupational therapy services to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Use evidence-based techniques and strategies to assist patients in improving their functional abilities and achieving their treatment goals.
- Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising occupational therapist and other team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Educate patients and their families about the benefits and goals of occupational therapy and provide guidance on home exercises and activities.
- Stay current with industry advancements and participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families, recognizing their unique needs and preferences.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary discussions about patient care.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized therapy area.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards of practice.
- Uphold the mission, values, and goals of PruittHealth in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.
Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.
Certification From The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).
Current State License To Practice As An Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Skilled Nursing Or Rehabilitation Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
