Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Infection Preventionist RN with excellent problem-solving skills to join our team at PruittHealth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing infection control strategies and initiatives to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, families, and all medical personnel. We are searching for an individual with a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and the ability to think critically to identify potential risks and develop effective solutions. If you are a qualified RN with a commitment to providing the highest quality of care, we want to hear from you.Qualifications:• Associate’s degree or higher in Nursing• Valid registered nurse license• 5+ years of experience in infection prevention• Excellent knowledge of infection control principles and practices• Working knowledge of relevant regulations, including OSHA and CMS• Aptitude for data collection and analysis• Excellent organizational and communication skills• Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and patients• Proven problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive infection control strategies and initiatives.
  2. Monitor and review infection control protocols to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  3. Educate and train medical personnel on infection control policies and procedures.
  4. Collect and analyze data related to infection control and risk management.
  5. Identify potential risks and develop effective solutions to mitigate them.
  6. Provide support to patients, families, and staff in adhering to infection control protocols.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of infection control and risk management activities.
  8. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to review and discuss infection control policies and procedures.
  9. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure coordinated infection control activities.
  10. Monitor and report incidents of infection and provide guidance on infection control protocols.
