We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Hospice Chaplain to join PruittHealth's Hospice team. In this position, you will provide spiritual support and comfort to patients and their families during a difficult and emotional time. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, have a deep commitment to providing emotional and spiritual support, and have the ability to remain composed and professional in all interactions. Qualifications include, but are not limited to, a Bachelor's degree in Theology or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in chaplaincy. Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual support and comfort to hospice patients and their families.
- Listen to and provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families.
- Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local clergy and community partners.
- Facilitate prayer services, Bible studies, and other religious activities.
- Assist patients and families in finding hope and meaning in their hospice journey.
- Assist in the development of bereavement plans for families.
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews.
- Document spiritual care services in patients' charts.
- Provide bereavement follow-up services to families.
