Hospice Chaplain

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Hospice Chaplain to join PruittHealth's Hospice team. In this position, you will provide spiritual support and comfort to patients and their families during a difficult and emotional time. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, have a deep commitment to providing emotional and spiritual support, and have the ability to remain composed and professional in all interactions. Qualifications include, but are not limited to, a Bachelor's degree in Theology or a related field, and 3+ years of experience in chaplaincy. Responsibilities:

1. Provide spiritual support and comfort to hospice patients and their families.
2. Listen to and provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and families.
3. Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor in all interactions.
4. Establish and maintain relationships with local clergy and community partners.
5. Facilitate prayer services, Bible studies, and other religious activities.
6. Assist patients and families in finding hope and meaning in their hospice journey.
7. Assist in the development of bereavement plans for families.
8. Participate in team meetings and case reviews.
9. Document spiritual care services in patients' charts.
10. Provide bereavement follow-up services to families.
