Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant

At PruittHealth, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and provide exceptional care to our hospice patients. The Hospice CNA will be responsible for providing direct, hands-on care to patients in their home or in a hospice facility. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced, certified CNA and have a passion for providing the highest quality of care to those in need. Required Qualifications: • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant • Knowledge of hospice care regulations • Ability to work independently • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct, hands-on care to hospice patients in their home or in a hospice facility.
2. Follow hospice regulations and standards of care.
3. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
4. Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
5. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as directed by a nurse or physician.
6. Monitor vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
7. Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition in the medical record.
8. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
9. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other members of the healthcare team.
10. Follow safety and infection control procedures.
11. Maintain valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
12. Pass a background check.
