- Provide high-quality care to residents: The primary responsibility of a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at PruittHealth is to provide high-quality care to the residents. This includes assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Show compassion to residents: As a CNA, it is crucial to have a compassionate attitude towards the residents. This includes showing empathy, listening to their needs, and treating them with respect and dignity.
- Assist with daily tasks and activities: CNAs are responsible for assisting residents with daily tasks and activities such as grooming, toileting, and mobility. They may also help with recreational activities and social events.
- Monitor resident health: CNAs are responsible for monitoring the health and well-being of residents. This includes taking vital signs, reporting any changes in health to the appropriate staff, and assisting with medication administration.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment: It is the responsibility of a CNA to ensure that the resident’s living space is clean and safe. This includes changing bed linens, keeping rooms clutter-free, and following proper infection control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with residents and staff: CNAs must have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals. This includes reporting any concerns or changes in the resident’s condition to the appropriate staff.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures: As an employee of PruittHealth, it is the responsibility of the CNA to adhere to all company policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to ensure the safety and privacy of residents.
- Attend trainings and meetings: CNAs are expected to attend trainings and meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and regulations in the healthcare industry. This ensures that they are providing the best care possible to residents.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment: CNAs play a crucial role in creating a positive and supportive environment for residents. This includes building relationships with residents
Active Cna Certification: A Candidate For A Prn Cna Position At Pruitthealth Must Hold A Valid And Active Certified Nursing Assistant Certification From Their State's Licensing Board.
Previous Experience: While Previous Experience Is Not Always Required For A Prn Cna Position, Having Some Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Especially In Long-Term Care Or Skilled Nursing, Will Give A Candidate An Advantage.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Prn Cna, You Will Be Working With A Variety Of Patients And Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, It Is Essential To Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Staff Members.
Physical Stamina And Strength: Being A Cna Can Be Physically Demanding, And A Prn Cna May Be Required To Work Different Shifts And Perform Various Tasks. Therefore, Having Physical Stamina And Strength Is Crucial To Perform The Job Effectively.
Flexibility And Adaptability: As A Prn Cna, You May Be Required To Work On Short Notice, Different Shifts, And In Various Healthcare Settings. Therefore, Having A Flexible Schedule And Being Adaptable To Changes Is A Must For This Position.
