Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team at PruittHealth. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our nursing department and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. As a pivotal member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients. This position is open to both LPNs with IV certification and RNs, who possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing excellent patient care.   1. Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  2. Create and implement nursing care plans that meet the individual needs of patients and comply with industry standards.
  3. Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support in their daily duties.
  4. Monitor and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and policies, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
  6. Evaluate patient outcomes and make necessary adjustments to improve quality of care.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  8. Manage and maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with facility protocols.
  9. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle emergency situations and make sound decisions.
  10. Serve as a role model for nursing staff, promoting a positive and professional work culture.
  11. Keep updated on industry advancements and best practices to continuously improve patient care.
  12. Participate in performance evaluations and contribute to the recruitment and retention of nursing staff.
  13. Adhere to ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and promoting patient rights.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
  15. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Lpn Or Rn License With Iv Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Current And Valid Lpn Or Rn License In The State Where The Facility Is Located, And Have Completed A Training Program Or Certification Course In Iv Therapy.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Nursing Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least Two Years Of Clinical Nursing Experience, Preferably In A Long-Term Care Or Skilled Nursing Facility Setting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Charge Nurse, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Overseeing The Nursing Staff And Ensuring The Efficient And Effective Delivery Of Patient Care. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Make Quick And Sound Decisions Are Essential.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Charge Nurse Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals, So Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Delegate Tasks And Provide Clear Instructions.

  • Knowledge Of Nursing Best Practices And Regulations: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Nursing Best Practices, As Well As Federal And State Regulations Related To Long-Term Care Facilities. This Will Ensure That The Facility Is In Compliance With All Necessary Guidelines.
