  1. Oversee daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  2. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as needed.
  3. Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to create and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of patients and residents.
  4. Train and supervise dietary staff, providing guidance and support to ensure quality service.
  5. Ensure compliance with all dietary regulations and guidelines, including food safety and sanitation standards.
  6. Communicate with patients, residents, and their families to address any dietary concerns or special requests.
  7. Assist with budgeting and cost control measures to ensure the department operates within financial parameters.
  8. Perform regular quality control checks to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  9. Maintain accurate records and reports related to dietary operations, including meal counts and inventory levels.
  10. Stay current on industry trends and developments in nutrition to continuously improve the dietary program.
  11. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being of patients and residents.
  12. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for dietary staff, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
  13. Handle any customer service issues or complaints related to the dietary department in a timely and effective manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Dietary Management Or Related Field.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Food Science, Or Related Field.

  • Certification As A Dietary Manager From The Association Of Nutrition And Foodservice Professionals (Anfp).

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Food Service In Healthcare Facilities.

  • Strong Organizational And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Supervise Dietary Staff.
