1. Develop and implement a variety of engaging activities and events for residents, taking into consideration their interests, abilities, and needs.
2. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for residents to socialize and interact with one another.
3. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure activities are well-planned and executed.
4. Maintain a calendar of events and communicate it to residents and their families.
5. Manage and maintain the activities budget, ensuring all expenses are within budget and approved.
6. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers to assist with activities.
7. Regularly assess and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make necessary adjustments to meet resident needs and preferences.
8. Develop positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to understand their needs and concerns.
9. Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and address any safety concerns.
10. Keep accurate records of resident participation in activities and report any changes or concerns to appropriate staff members.
11. Stay updated on current trends and research in senior activities and implement new ideas to enhance the program.
12. Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents to participate in activities and maintain a positive attitude.
13. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
