1. Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room for procedures, including setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
2. Ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and properly functioning.
3. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary instruments and supplies during procedures.
4. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following proper infection control procedures.
5. Collaborate with surgeons and nurses to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical procedure.
6. Keep accurate records of surgical instruments used and report any issues or malfunctions.
7. Follow established protocols and procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
8. Continuously monitor and maintain inventory levels of surgical supplies and equipment.
