Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Supervisor for Patient Access. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of Patient Access Representatives, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of customer service and care.   1. Lead and manage a team of Patient Access Representatives to ensure exceptional customer service and care for our patients.
  2. Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing training for current team members.
  3. Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching as needed.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall patient experience.
  5. Ensure that all patient information is accurately collected and entered into the system.
  6. Maintain knowledge of insurance policies and procedures to assist patients with insurance coverage and billing questions.
  7. Resolve any issues or concerns raised by patients or team members in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Develop and enforce department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  9. Analyze data and generate reports to track department performance and identify areas for improvement.
  10. Act as a liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to facilitate smooth and efficient patient access.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in patient access and customer service.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and employee development.
  13. Participate in hiring and onboarding processes for new team members.
  14. Serve as a role model for exceptional customer service and professionalism.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of Providence St. Joseph Health in all interactions and decisions.
